Mark and Nicole’s Proposal | April 20th, 2026

My friend from college, Mark, asked me to do his proposal photos on Marathon Monday. Him and his fiancée, who has also become a close friend, were like, “we’re not photogenic by the way.” And I was like, “no worries, we’re gonna have a lot of fun and I’m sure we’re gonna get some great shots.”

As we were shooting, and I was showing them some of the shots, Nicole was like, “Waittt, maybe we *are* photogenic.” I found this both hilarious and validating! I do think, yes, photogenic-ness relies a lot on your photographer having a good eye and being a people-person who can encourage you into your slays and direct a shoot.

The park itself as a backdrop was sort of plain, but we worked with it. For your shoot, we could choose a location that suits your preference!
