Working With Me

Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a photographer drawn to texture, emotion, light, and subtle moments of truth. My shoots are less about stiff poses or social performance and more about crafting a shared atmosphere. I don’t believe in “perfection.” I believe in resonance.

If you’re looking for crisp, emotionally warm portraits shaped by environment, vibe, and presence — you’re in the right place. If you want something spontaneous, honest, and a little poetic, I’d love to work together.

Here’s what to know about how I work:

  • The Mood Leads: I shoot based on the lighting, your energy, and what the location offers that day. If the sun’s harsh, we’ll move to shade. If the wind picks up, we might use it. The best shots come from listening to the moment, not forcing it.

  • Trust Is Everything: I’m not here to execute a shot-list pulled from the internet—I’m here to create something that’s ours. If you trust me to guide and explore, we’ll make magic. If you need complete control over every detail, I may not be the photographer for you.

  • Small Groups, Big Presence: I specialize in solo and duo portraits. That’s where I shine. I no longer offer large group sessions (5+) where the focus of the session is to get everyone in each and every shot. I’ve found the energy shifts — from artistic collaboration, where I can attune to each person and offer specific guidance, to something more like detached choreography. And I’m more like an archaeologist than a choreographer.

  • Clarity Before the Click: Before any shoot, I’ll hop on a quick call to understand what you’re looking for, what you feel drawn to, and whether we’re aligned. This is where we set expectations and see if it’s a good fit—for both of us.
